ADHD Coaching and Consulting
1:1 Coaching
Our 1:1 coaching sessions are designed for individuals diagnosed with ADHD and/or Autism, or individuals who identify with being neurodivergent.
Coaching is a practical solution to understanding and managing life challenges.
We focus on building strategies unique to you, your goals and strengths.
We can help with all areas of life, including relationships, friendships, parenting, work, health and wellness.
Training + Workshops
Our workshops and training sessions are created for delivering knowledge and awareness of neurodiversity, to both small and large groups.
Webinars and Workshops can be tailored to your group’s needs.
We also offer Employee 1:1 Coaching, Group Coaching and Workplace Mentoring.
We aim to educate, collaborate and help you design inclusive practices, where everyone can succeed.
The Coaching Process
1. Book a Start-up Session.
To find out if coaching is a good fit for you, book a Start-up Coaching Session, via our online booking system. Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email, with some further information and forms to complete prior to our first session. These will help you get the most out of our first coaching session together, where we’ll uncover your unique strengths to inspire the next step in your journey.
2. We collaborate on your goals.
Through regular coaching sessions (either weekly or fortnightly), we’ll work together on supporting and empowering you to achieve your goals or intentions. To enable sustainable change, we recommend booking a minimum of 5 to 6 sessions.
3. Then we celebrate your success.
Often we hit our goals, but never take the time to truly savour the moment. We like to do things differently around here! You will learn how to clearly cement success in your mind, enabling you to draw upon its memory and provide strength for facing any future challenges.

A medical professional like a psychiatrist, will give you an ADHD diagnosis, and this will retrospectively give you the understanding of why you think and behave in certain ways.
Therapy can definitely help ADHDer’s unpack their past and heal from any difficult emotions. Medication can provide ADHDer’s with the gift of focus.
But WHERE that focus goes in moving forward - is completely up to you. HOW you live your life moving forward - is still completely up to you.
Maybe you’re seeking some clarity on what you want to do next? Or maybe you’ve already set some new goals for yourself, but on pursuing them, have found yourself facing the same set of ADHD-related challenges? They might include issues a general Life or Business coach just doesn’t ‘get,’ like a loss of interest, a lack of focus, saying yes when you should have said no or making impulsive purchases; or not making progress due to constantly feeling overwhelmed, procrastination or perfectionist tendencies; or maybe it’s time blindness making you constantly late to work or school drop offs.
Sometimes we need a little more acceptance, understanding and support, to process and figure out what’s going on and what we can do that actually works. This is where ADHD Coaching can support you.
ADHD Coaching is a professional relationship, based in an understanding of where ADHD both limits and strengthens you. Our coaching uses an ADHD ‘lens’ to recognise the impact that ADHD may be having, helping you to identify and overcome barriers, and build personalised bridges to reach your personal definition of success.
Remember, ADHD is a life-long condition, and life changes and transitions will typically call for new strategies. But no matter what stage of life that is, ADHD Coaching can help you:
Learn how your brain works best to understand, process, organise and retain information, in order to have the skills and expertise you want or need in daily life;
Identify and understand your strengths and use them to develop more self-awareness and self-regulation, reducing moments of overwhelm and enabling you to make easier decisions; and
Gain clarity in who you are or aspire to be, so you can align what you do, to have the life you want, letting go of perfectionism, procrastination or anything else holding you back.

It is very important to note that Coaching is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment. There are always times when coaching is not an appropriate course of action. Here’s some information to help you decide whether coaching or therapy is more suitable to your needs.
ADHD Coaching isn’t therapy or counselling. Mental health practitioners, such as psychologists and psychiatrists, are experts who can help improve, intervene or help you to heal from past traumas.
Instead, an ADHD Coach acts like a professional friend, encouraging and facilitating action, to bridge gaps between where you currently are, and where you want to be. Coaches help you to embrace your ADHD and unique strengths and skills, collaborating on personalised strategies and solutions for overcoming obstacles getting in the way of achieving your goals. If you are unsure or can’t articulate what you want to do with in life, study or work, then we can work together to uncover the ideal situation and set intentions to move forward.
A therapist spends more time on the emotional aspects of having ADHD and can treat co-existing conditions such as mood disorders and anxiety. Coaches help you develop skills and strategies to overcome executive function deficits such as planning, organising, and time management.
On the flip side, coaches can — and often do — work on emotional challenges to some extent… and therapists also work on life skills. The difference is the degree to which each need is present.
For example, if the primary challenge is managing or understanding emotions, particularly those that have been present for years, a therapist would likely be the appropriate option. Likewise, if the primary goals are getting organised, managing time, and creating healthy routines, coaching might be the better approach. It is not uncommon for a person to be working with a therapist and a coach at the same time.
Many of our clients still see their therapists, and rely on therapy to work on any overwhelming negative emotions and anxiety. Coaching is a rewarding and beneficial experience when you are ready to be coached, but working with a therapist is often needed to make that happen.
Most importantly - Untreated co-occurring conditions — mood disorder, anxiety, substance abuse, and/or obsessive-compulsive disorder — should be treated with medication and/or therapy before coaching can be effective. And for coaching, you have to be ready, willing and able, for the coaching process to work for you.

ADHD coaching will always honour the unique brain wiring and strengths of each individual with ADHD. Whether it’s for personal or work reasons – or both – ADHD coaching provides a greater level of safety and support, taking care to refrain from any judgements (especially the horrible hustle and go-hard mentality of, “Just do it”).
An ADHD coach recognises that ADHDers are often afraid to even contemplate success, given their likelihood of past experiences with negativity and failure. So instead of the regular coaching which can pile on pressure to adhere to strict ways of being, ADHD coaches know when and how to take the pressure ‘’off,’’ to help you take your OWN required action to succeed.
ADHD coaches also have an appreciation of, and patience for, ADHD traits that can trip us and look deceptively like opposition or procrastination to regular coaches. An ADHD-trained coach will understand and appreciate both the challenges ADHD brings to your life, as well its exceptional gifts. They will provide you with a toolkit of resources and strategies to learn about how your ADHD affects you. You will also identify your character strengths, integrating these into your daily life to start owning your own dreams and goals again.
Similar to a regular coach, ADHD Coaches will still help you to process your thoughts and actions, looking for ways to increase your awareness of any patterns not serving you well. However we will empower you to reflect on these through the ADHD-lens and the common challenges of living with hyperactivity, distractability and impulsivity, working together to create new beliefs that will lead to success.
A huge part of coaching that is often overlooked (which ADHD Coaching offers and regular coaching doesn’t), is identifying and understand your learning and processing modalities. ADHD Coaching helps you realise how these modalities can strengthen your unique organising methods and memory recall. Your learning and processing modalities, coupled with your ability to take creative leaps and make divergent connections – are key to developing customised systems to facilitate the completion of goals and tasks that work for YOU (and not those standard systems given to you by other coaches – the ones that never seem to work out for neurodivergents)! Learning modalities and other tools can also help you to remember, retrieve and communicate information with others – a bonus for both your work AND personal life!

We all want and deserve to be seen, heard and understood, and a coaching session provides a safe space for this to happen. During a coaching session, you have dedicated 1:1 support to verbally process and reflect on the emotional and executive functioning challenges that get in the way of your daily tasks and longer-term goals.
Coaching is an action-orientated, collaborative partnership. For each session, we focus on a topic relevant to you and identify an outcome you want to achieve by the end of a session. This could look like a plan, a strategy or even provide clarity on something you have been unsure about. We’ll spend the session exploring this topic and figure out how to overcome any barriers getting in the way of achieving your outcome or intention.
Coaching sessions can also help you to align your life with integrity (integrity meaning the alignment between who you are and what you do). Because quite frankly, life is so much easier if we can be same person when we are with others, as we are by ourselves. If you want to dig deeper into who you are, in order to create more meaning and purpose to your life, we can focus our sessions on exploring this too.

Having a coaching certification enables coaches to ensure that they always put their clients' best interests first — and that they don't inadvertently cause harm to their clients.
ADHD coaches are governed by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a global organisation providing competencies, standards and ethics for their members. ICF Coach certification is a globally recognised and respected testament to the knowledge and competency of the coach. It indicates that the coach has been assessed by an Accredited Coach Training Program, and they have the recognised skills and expertise required to practice as a credentialed coach.
By completing an ICF Coach Training Certification, with a registered ICF Training Organisation, a coach is also demonstrating their commitment to professional standards and ethics as a coach. It provides a level of credibility that sets the coach apart from other coaches who might have not completed a rigorous programme.
Coaches at The Fitted Sheet Co studied and trained with the ICF-certified ADD Coaching Academy (ADDCA) New York. This means we aren’t just a regular life coach or a self-proclaimed coach, as we have undertaken both certified AND formal study and education, based in neuroscience and the latest ADHD related research, including its practical impact on individuals, and have been specifically trained to work with, understand and facilitate coaching sessions for people with ADHD.
It’s also important to note - you cannot coach the ADHD out of someone and we highly recommend staying (very) far away from anyone who promises to do so!

Book your first coaching session via our booking platform, selecting an available time that suits your schedule.
-
We offer sessions that can be booked and paid for online - one at a time. However, like going to the gym, one great session with a Personal Trainer may improve your technique or knowledge, but it’s unlikely to build your long-term fitness or strength. To enable sustainable change, we recommend booking a minimum of 5 to 6 sessions (either weekly or fortnightly).
To secure your preferred weekly or fortnightly time slot, ask us about booking your sessions in advance. You won’t need to pay for all of them upfront - instead, we will email an invoice to pay online before each of the appointments.

Yes and no. The approach varies. Firstly, we can’t coach anyone that doesn’t want to be coached, so please don’t drag your child kicking and screaming to a coaching session! (this even goes for “adult” children).
For any under 18’s, we also need an adult (parent, guardian, carer), who can attend the Start-Up Session, to agree and sign off to the goals your child wants to work towards in our coaching sessions (especially since you are likely the account holder that will be paying for said sessions)!
Coaching kids under the age of 13, can be difficult. Although most neurodiverse kids are incredibly brilliant, they’re more likely to have yes or no answers, and lose interest realllllyyyy quickly. So for the parents of younger children with ADHD, we prefer to book coaching sessions with you. These sessions tend to be more effective in developing strategies to try out at home and school. For example, you might have a specific challenge you want to work on; or you might just feel incredibly overwhelmed by the diagnosis process, and really just want to figure out the next steps with an ADHD coach with lived experience.
For the teenagers, please note there is no magic “cure,” and the skills and strategies we collaborate on during sessions, will always be aligned to what motivates your CHILD, their strengths and their learning styles.Being a teenager, even without ADHD, is often a time of trial and error. Because of this, we always ask parents to allow space and time for the child to see what does and doesn’t work for them (as don’t forget a child grows into an adult, and life can be much more forgiving to learn positively from failures as child)!
If you have any questions about how coaching could help your child and your family, please reach out and email erinn@thefittedsheetco.com .
